Came here with my son (27) on our recent trip to Providence for the premiere of his latest film about skeletons.
My son is a heavy drinker and I'm a big fan of breakfast tacos so Julians seemed to be a good place for us. As we waited outside, my son drank six pints of lager and three gin and tonics. I had an iced coffee.
The food was very good. My son has celiacs disease but he was able to find a decent meal. I went a little heavy and ate two full breakfasts. As I relieved myself in the bathroom to make room for the second breakfast, I was pleased to see the number of PEZ dispensers including several of Garfield.
I first encountered Garfield in 1980 and would spend the next six years as a heavy fan of this cat. I remember when the people behind the comic became merchandise experts. In those years I would purchase Garfield curtains, sheets, plushies and containers of all sizes.
After a while my son had to knock on the bathroom door as I had fallen asleep.
A great place to eat and a great place to charge your phone and think about the good old days of Garfield fandom.
